Harmony Korine

Fantastically amazing director, screenwriter and author, Harmony Korine has got to be one of my favorite creative people in this world. He is insanely unique and quite the oddball. He is known for his quirky and dark humored films and was thrust into filmmaking after his collaboration with Larry Clark on KIDS (1995). Clark discovered Korine on NY City streets and was impressed with a script he wrote about a father who takes his teenage son to a prostitute. Clark asked Korine to write him a script and incorporate the HIV/AIDS crisis that was blowing up at the time. Three weeks later, the screenplay for KIDS was complete. He is also known for films such as Gummo (1997), Julien Donkey-Boy (1999) and Mister Lonely (2007) as well as various short film and novel works.

Also, he is quite the laugh during interviews. He is certainly odd, but in an adorably charming sort of way.
