The original version of this sequence was edited to be mostly in black and white because of the amount of blood and gore. To avoid an NC-17 RATING, Tarantino and his editing team also took out some of the kills in addition to eliminating color. STILL, the way he transitioned into black and white is f-ing BRILLIANT.
